How to Be Saved (Part 3)

The Essence of Salvation Simplified

It is a FACT, not a feeling! Salvation must be a fact through faith, before it is a feeling. (Acts 16:30, 31)

It is receiving a NEW LIFE, not turning over a new leaf! (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15)

It is GOD’S WORK FOR US, not our work for God! (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5)

It is CHRISTIANITY, not churchianity! (Acts 4:12; John 14:6; Hebrews 7:25)

It is TRUSTING, not trying (Romans 3:20-26, Galatians 3:10-14)

It is HEART FAITH, not head knowledge! (Romans 10:8-10; James 2:19)

The Way to Salvation: Placing Faith in Christ

Placing faith in Christ involves the following:

Acknowledging our need for Christ to save us

Turning from our will & way to God’s will & way

Accepting Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior

Receiving salvation and eternal life as gifts from God

Trusting Him to purify our hearts & change our lives

You can accept Christ into your heart by faith & receive eternal life by offering this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Today, I turn from my sins and invite you into my heart as my personal Savior. I am willing to follow and obey You as Lord of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Amen
